The 16 year-old Auli’i Cravalho wowed the audience with her soaring rendition of the song “How Far I’ll Go” from the animated movie “Moana.” She didn’t miss a beat, even after she was hit in the head by one of her dancers’ large flags.
She even snagged a supporting role in NBC’s theater drama pilot, Drama High, just one day after her stunning performance at the 2017 Academy Awards. Cravalho will play Lilette, who works part-time after school at the local diner and has big dreams. .
