Linkin Park Singer Dead at 41 Suicide

Linkin Park Singer Dead, Linkin Park, suicide, Chester Bennington

Linkin Park singer and frontman Chester Bennington died of an apparent suicide by hanging Thursday morning, according to The Associated Press. He was 41. A representative confirmed the singer's death. Brian Elias, chief of operations for the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner said:

"Shortly after 9 a.m. this morning, we were notified by law enforcement of a death in Palos Verdes Estates. We responded to the scene and unfortunately confirmed that Mr. Chester Bennington was deceased at the scene."

"Shocked and heartbroken, but it's true," Bennington's fellow Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda said on Twitter. "An official statement will come out as soon as we have one."

Bennington was a son of a police officer and was born on March 20th, 1976 in Phoenix.
