Melodrama is the second studio album by Lorde a singer from New Zealand known for her breakout song "Royals." Lorde released it on June 16, 2017 through Republic Records. She has a new producer/co-writer, Jack Antonoff. Melodrama is a deeply sad breakup album. It's a bit personal since her last album, she's endured the normal trials of life like breaking up with her longtime boyfriend. Melodrama shows a grown-up Lorde. It’s currently the best pop release of 2017, that proves Lorde's star power.
A few minutes after being released in the US Melodrama is already number 6 on the iTunes Charts.
