Eagles of Death Metal members Plays with U2 on Paris stage

U2 concert, Bataclan theater, Eagles of Death Metal

The Eagles of Death Metal returned to Paris on Monday, they joined the Irish band U2 for a concert-on-HBO that was rescheduled due to the November 13 terrorist attacks at the Bataclan theater and killed 130 people and sent the American band fleeing for their lives.

The Eagles of Death Metal went up the stage at U2's  "Innocence + Experience" concert at AccordHotel Arena in the French capital, after a heartfelt introduction by Bono, who has made them heroes in his current campaign for music's power to soothe grief. The crowd stood up and gave them a roaring standing ovation, and the bands together played the Patti Smith song "People Have the Power". The Eagles of Death Metal closed the show with their song, "I Love You All the Time."

"These are our brothers, our fellow troubadours and they were robbed of their stage three weeks ago, and we would like to offer them ours tonight," Bono said.
